Out and about with our Community teams

#TogtherForBedfordshire | As the thermometers have started rising so has activity on our Safer Streets Summer initiative.

It’s seen our community officers out and about the length and breadth of the county dealing with crime and linking in with our communities.

The  @bedfordcommunitypolicingteam has been working with colleagues from the triforce  Roads Policing Unit targeting e-bikes and scooters being ridden illegally. We know this is an issue that worries many of you, so on Wednesday they stopped six riders in the town centre and seized one scooter. It will end up crushed in a skip !

Lots of activity too in Luton town centre with the @LutonCommunityPolicingTeam and our partners from @lutoncouncil. Six people stopped and searched, three community resolutions and, just as importantly, the reassurance of a high visibility police presence in the Luton Point and around the centre.

But it's not just in our big towns. The @NorthBedsPoliceRural  team visited the village of Oakley, giving out crime prevention advice and listening to residents' concerns
