#TogetherforBedfordshire | As we always say community policing is a combination of engagement and enforcement and there was plenty of both happening for our teams this week.
In Bedford the emphasis was firmly on enforcement: The @bedfordcommunitypolicingteam spotted a man apparently dealing drugs on St Peter’s Green. The next stop for him was the magistrates’ court. Just one of four arrests in three days around the town centre.
The Summer Policing plan is focused on keeping our town centres safe and attractive. It’s all about teamwork, as the @LutonCommunityPolicingTeam showed on 999 Emergency Services Day as the Home Office came to see what we’ve been up to with the @BedsPCC
A dedicated operation brought together our officers with teams from @lutoncouncil @LutonPoint and @LutonBID working together to help keep Luton an attractive place to visit.
A slightly less formal – but still important – link, is with plane spotters! Our @LutonAirportPoliceUnit really values their eyes and ears on the perimeter of the airport.
And just to prove we are out and about though rain and shine…PCSO Carne of our @leightonbuzzardpolicing team almost found the end of the rainbow as she patrolled Leighton Buzzard on Thursday morning. We rely on your information to keep our communities safer. If you’ve got something you’d like to report, visit our website: https://orlo.uk/1QnPQ
