Our community policing teams are dedicated to proactively tackling issues that matter most to our communities and address the core root of a problem, finding a long term solution. Split across local hubs, as well as an airport community team and the Community Enforcement team, officers have a visible presence in our communities engaging with the local public and prioritising activity based on the needs of the local people.

Partnership working is the key to community policing success and teams work closely with other organisations to maintain good networks and monitor community needs, working together to fully understand a problem and tailor the response to get the best results.

Community Priority for Area 5: DRUG RELATED OFFENCES in ARLESEY has been identified as the community priority for this quarter, this has been identified from the Bedfordshire Talking Survey, and crime data. There is a PMP setup on Athena under the reference PMP/2237/25 to support tackling and resolving the problem. DRUG RELATED OFFENCES will be the focus of the next 3 months. This is a continuation of the previous priority for the area. Issued 21 January 2026	Work remains ongoing towards this priority and enforcement action. Partial closure placed on one property and work ongoing to close another 3 properties. Actioned 15 April 2026
Community Priority for Area 3: ASB in BIGGLESWADE town centre has been identified as the community priority for this quarter, this has been identified from the Bedfordshire Talking Survey, and crime data. This is a continuation of the previous priority for the area. There is a PMP setup on Athena under the reference PMP/3598/25 to support tackling and resolving the problem. OFF ROAD BIKES/VEHICLE NUISANCE will be the focus of the next 3 months.
