Our community policing teams are dedicated to proactively tackling issues that matter most to our communities and address the core root of a problem, finding a long term solution. Split across local hubs, as well as an airport community team and the Community Enforcement team, officers have a visible presence in our communities engaging with the local public and prioritising activity based on the needs of the local people.
Partnership working is the key to community policing success and teams work closely with other organisations to maintain good networks and monitor community needs, working together to fully understand a problem and tailor the response to get the best results.

In response to ongoing community concerns, we are taking proactive steps to reduce speeding in the Totternhoe area. Our aim is to make the roads safer for all users and to address the volume of complaints received from residents. Issued 02 October 2025 |
We will be engaging with drivers through education and awareness, and where necessary, enforcement action will be taken. In addition, we are working closely with partner agencies to explore the implementation of permanent road safety measures. Actioned 02 January 2026 |
