Our community policing teams are dedicated to proactively tackling issues that matter most to our communities and address the core root of a problem, finding a long term solution. Split across local hubs, as well as an airport community team and the Community Enforcement team, officers have a visible presence in our communities engaging with the local public and prioritising activity based on the needs of the local people.

Partnership working is the key to community policing success and teams work closely with other organisations to maintain good networks and monitor community needs, working together to fully understand a problem and tailor the response to get the best results.

Community Priority for KINGSBROOK JULY 25 - SEPT 25 BEGGING and ASB outside Tesco Cardington Road have been identified as the community priorities for this quarter, this has been agreed following a Priority setting meeting with local Councillors on 31/07/2025. BEGGING and ASB will be the focus of the next 3 months. If you have any concerns regarding your local area, please contact your local officers via: BedfordUrbanNPT@beds.police.uk Issued 31 July 2025	Beat managers are working with local store and social services on ensuring that members of public causing issues at location are suitably supported and signposted to services that can help them. Officers are working to explore other options as well such as community behaviour orders and community protection notices issued to repeat subjects who are unwilling to be supported. DRUGS and ASB will be the focus of the next 3 months. If you have any concerns regarding your local area, please contact your local officers via: BedfordUrbanNPT@beds.police.uk Issued 31 July 2025	Officers are working on enforcement in the area and an environmental visual audit was conducted resulting in number of street design improvements, especially in the Sandhurst road area.
