Our community policing teams are dedicated to proactively tackling issues that matter most to our communities and address the core root of a problem, finding a long term solution. Split across local hubs, as well as an airport community team and the Community Enforcement team, officers have a visible presence in our communities engaging with the local public and prioritising activity based on the needs of the local people.

Partnership working is the key to community policing success and teams work closely with other organisations to maintain good networks and monitor community needs, working together to fully understand a problem and tailor the response to get the best results.

Community Priority for PUTNOE, GOLDINGTON and NEWNHAM JULY 25- SEPT 25 THEFT FROM SHOP has been identified as the community priority for this quarter, this has been agreed following a Priority setting meeting with local Councillors on 31/07/2025. THEFT FROM SHOP will be the focus of the next 3 months. The following has been completed so far; - Regular high visibility patrols - Regular engagement and crime prevention visits with the locations. - Arrests of prolific offenders.
