Our community policing teams are dedicated to proactively tackling issues that matter most to our communities and address the core root of a problem, finding a long term solution. Split across local hubs, as well as an airport community team and the Community Enforcement team, officers have a visible presence in our communities engaging with the local public and prioritising activity based on the needs of the local people.

Partnership working is the key to community policing success and teams work closely with other organisations to maintain good networks and monitor community needs, working together to fully understand a problem and tailor the response to get the best results.

AUG 25 - NOV 25 DRUGS and DRUGS RELATED CRIME has been identified as the community priority for this quarter, this has been agreed following a Priority setting meeting with local Councillors on 31/07/2025. SHORTSTOWN has been identified as a priority area for this focus. DRUGS and DRUGS RELATED CRIMES will be the focus of the next 3 months. Section 8 PACE warrant executed in SHORTSTOWN for drug use and now an investigation has been opened for Supply/Offering to Supply Class A Crack.. Drug Prevention engagement had taken place in Ravensden and intelligence submitted from the engagement. On 28/08/2025 -another S8 warrant conducted at the home address of SHORTSTOWN. Investigation Ref: 40/49670/25 for Supply/Offering to Supply Class A Crack. To be extended. Actioned 01 October 2025
